Established in 1919, PEROLO SA is a worldwide company specialised in the design and manufacture of the finest tank safety and fluid transfer equipment for oil, chemicals, powders, liquefied gas and foodstuffs.

The company headquarters are located near Bordeaux, France where the 60,000 m² premises house product design and engineering, manufacturing, quality control as well as the customer support department.

PEROLO SA is part of the BIP GROUP which also has subsidiaries in Belgium – PEROLO DISTRIBUTION BVBA – China – LANGFANG BIP VALVES MANUFACTURING CO. LTD - United Kingdom - ALLTEC SOLUTIONS LTD - and a network of expert representatives all over the world.



PEROLO HISTORY

Perolo has been evolving in response to the needs of it's customers since 1919





 

1919

Joseph Perolo establishes the PEROLO machined Parts Company, supplying the automotive industry.


1925

PEROLO develops a range of parts and equipment for oil fields and oil refineries.

  

 

1936

The company launches a range of back pressure valves and other specialist equipment for petrol stations.

 

1949

PEROLO creates a range of equipment specially designed for oil road tankers, as well as a first line of loading arms. Numerous contracts with international oil companies open up export markets.

 

1961

Claude and Pierre – sons of Joseph Perolo – move their activities to new 60,000 m2 premises in Blaye, near Bordeaux with more than 6,000 m2 of production buildings.

 

1970

PEROLO adds a range of blowout preventers for oil wellheads (2"-6") suitable for pressures up to 1,042 bars.

 

 

1977

PEROLO’S continuous catalytic reformer processes are certified by INSTITUT FRANÇAIS DU PÉTROLE.

 

1980

PEROLO targets the Tank Container market and launches its first range of equipment for chemicals and foodstuffs.

 

1990

Drawing boards are replaced by 2D computer – aided design (CAD) software.

 

1997

Lloyd’s Register certifies the PEROLO quality assurance program to ISO 9001 standard.

 

1998

British Company SYLTONE Group buys out PEROLO Company.


 
 



2000

PEROLO develops a new equipment range devoted to chemicals road tankers.

 

2001

New extension of the chemical/container range: PEROLO patents its NEATFLOW™ bottom discharge assembly.

Further innovation from PEROLO with the launch of a world premiere DCMT3 fully digital computer based grounding device.

 

2002

PEROLO begins to work with 3D design software (AutoDesk Inventor) and with finite element analysis (FEA) program to optimize the research and development.

 

2003

PEROLO breaks new ground by introducing to the Tank Container market equipment solutions dedicated to transporting highly corrosive chemicals (HALAR™ coatings, HASTELLOY™ inserts, etc).

PEROLO’s DMCT3 gains ATEX certification for operating in potentially explosive atmospheres.

 

2004

PEROLO launches a new range of equipment to RID standard adapted to rail tank cars. PED approval certifies that PEROLO products comply with the European directive for pressure vessels.

Gardner Denver U.S. Group buys out SYLTONE Group.

 

2005

M.B.O. of PEROLO takes place by Thierry Bourguignon and Pierre Surman.

2006

PEROLO obtains TPED certification, guaranteeing conformity to the European Transportable Pressure Equipment Directive.

 

2007

PEROLO expands its world coverage by opening subsidiaries in Belgium and China

 

2009

PEROLO celebrates it's 90th anniversary in the fluid handling market.

 

2010

PEROLO expands its European coverage by opening subsidiary in United Kingdom: Alltec Solutions Ltd.

Through innovation PEROLO continues to evolve the product range for Tank Container products:
- From the TWINCO evolves the TWINFLOW (footvalve & butterfly valve one piece body casting)
- From the ATCO AD4X evolves the ATCO AD3X (Airline ball valve) with savings in material usage giving weight reduction and lower cost
